Blue-naped Parrots are rare to have in aviculture, Shukavana is happy to have two such birds. Chakra was only 2 & 1/2 months old on arrival, she is shy type bird. Interacts and plays only with Shanku. Chakra responds to instructions like step up, come, go.

Medical Condition

Had respiratory problem on arrival, received treatment for the same during quarantining the bird. Bird is healthy and did not have any episode of illness after the treatment. Hence Chakra was paired with Shanku. During winters special care is taken to maintain temperatures to avoid temperature variations due to environmental changes. Room heaters are given to avoid chilling of the bird. Body weight is 214 grams.
